Few highlights of the cruise trip to tropical paradise of Lakshadweep :

It all started with boarding cruise in cochin , exploring ship and watching the waves, the spray against the ship, the flying dolphins , shouting for dead fishes and plastic bottles as well!!

We visited Kadamat , Kalpeni and Kavaratti islands. Trip mainly included snorkelling , kayaking and glass boat ridings.

The experience of snorkelling session was just awesome. There were people who were praying that fishes wouldn't do any harm to them when colorful fishes were daring to come close to the body ;) . Sea cucumbers , corals of all sizes and types, seahorse and many more were blessed to see us in the sea.

Glass Bottom Boat Ride was also wonderful which helped us in seeing rich marine life including big turtles , colorful fishes and variety corals.

There were many types of fishes in the marine museum/aquarium. I was surprised by many names of Fishes like Surgeon fish , rabbit fish , parrot fish , flying fish etc. Saw many lobsters , shrimp , sea anemone , crabs , eels , shells , star fishes and a big Stingray

It was really great to be playing after a long time. We played some beach volleyball and football for 3 days. I was so bored to be on the winning side always! No chance for opposite team when HiR() is playing on the other side!!

Was quite surprised when we found people wearing football jerseys . We were shouting for every Jerseys found there. We even found Everton and Sunderland jerseys as well ( No Aston Villa Jersey though !! ) There were so many that I too got bored screaming the name of the club/country !!

Enjoyed classical dances of kolkali ( kolata ) and Parichakali ( sword and shield )

Was hoping to find at least one sunrise or sunset as it was very cloudy. Finally on the last day 3 of us found the orange sun coming out of the hovering clouds. It was appearing as if the Sun had heard our plea and I would say we were really lucky to see such a nice sunrise!!

It was looking as if flying dolphins were there to greet us in Cochin. Then we roamed around in Fort Cochin for the entire day. By that time my face had got tanned :(

The eventful journey with the soft silver sands, the gentle waves, the emerald waters of the lagoon had come to a pleasant end.

gajibiji gijibiji hohoho kiri kiri kaya kaya kokoko life ishtene!!!!

"The Master"

Well.. this entry, after a long time got to be on sports as well. Glad to decorate my Blog with an article on this Legend, Roger Federer, "The Master of Tennis" .

Honestly saying, i was just wondering even if Roger will even make it to the Finals of French open, in spite of him beating Nadal in Madrid masters a week ago. When Nadal lost in the fourth round, I thought maybe, ya “maybe” this is Federer’s turn. But the next day I couldn’t see Roger struggling so much against Tommy Haaaaas. Good to see his “Never say die attitude” and figthin back from 2 sets and 3-4 down. Finally was very happy to see him lift the trophy in elusive Roland Garos title and filling his last hole on his Resume. Happy to see him falling on his knees to the clay that had vexed him for so long, screaming and briefly burying his face in his hands. He was teary by the time he met Soderling at the net, and fans gave Federer a standing ovation as he raised his arms in triumph.

The stylish Swiss showed his versatility by getting his hands on the Musketeers' Cup at the French Open to complete his collection of grand slam titles. Job done, Federer started to rake in the records and the accolades.

“It was destiny I guess in many respects,” Agassi said of Federer. Yes indeed it was!!

Federer's versatility was spitomised by Jimmy Connors' statement : "In an era of specialists - you're either a clay court specialist, a grass court specialist or a hard court specialist.. or you're Roger Federer" .. :)

Need to make a special mention about my manager, who is such an ardent lover of Roger. Guess what I got to see, the next day of Roger's acquisition of French open?? Big, Glittering words on her desk's whiteboard which read: "As it was, the end was what most neutrals had been hoping for, Federer fell to his knees, the crowd rose to their feet and the thunder rumbled overhead…"

Doubters will always find a reason not to proclaim Federer the greatest player to grace a tennis court, but one thing is for sure: time and again Federer has showed that he has techniques and the weapons at his disposal, some of the shots he can play defy the imagination.

Federer is not just one of the game's greatest, but a role model to generatios. A man unafraid to show emotion. A man who has shown us that grace and niceness aren't out of place in today's world!!

Hope he bags up more and more titles. Still long way to go for him.

LONG LIVE THE KING!!

English Football Horror tackles

ok, Lets start with Martin Taylor’s horror tackle on Eduardo. Alex McLeish was particular disgraceful in his comments, calling Martin Taylor’s red card ‘harsh’. Harsh? Perhaps they haven’t seen the images of the tackle up close?. It's ridiculous to hear people defend the tackle. It's one thing to say "OK, he doesn't deserve more than a 3 or 5 match ban", it's another to say things like "the tackle was harmless, he was just unlucky", or "it looks worse than it is because he got injured". This logic is pathetic, and it's ridiculous.

Take a look at Ashley cole's tackle on Tottenham's Alan Hutton here.Cole went studs-up on Tottenham full-back Hutton at White Hart Lane, sparking a furious reaction on the touchline.Referee Mike Riley gave Cole a yellow card inspite of cole turning his back on the referee. From my viewpoint, Cole was extremely lucky not to be sent off, as Wayne Rooney was for his challenge on Niko Kranjcar in the FA Cup

There are many players like Makelele, Roy Keane , Robbie Savage, Joey Barton, Steven Gerrard and so on that have gotten away with worse, more intentional tackles, but only because the other players avoided injury.

One can appreciate English mentality of wanting to always win, but this has to be done the right way. It should not become like Italy, where the game stopping every 5 minutes. But that bad tackles and bad behavior are properly punished.
